Electricity Generation

MBD Energy completed the trial of bio remediation of power station ash dam and waste streams for the production of new value in the form of versatile algal biomass.

Having successfully piloted the technology at its James Cook University research and development facility and Tarong, MBD is now developing the first stages of a project at Ratchaburi in Thailand.

The focus of this project is to develop a 50,000 TPA facility at Ratchaburi. Biocrude from the project will be sold to project partner Bangchak for refining in their existing refineries to petrol, diesel and Jet fuel. In addition a range of chemicals will be extracted in the process and sold into the Thai chemical market.
